Lake Garda - Stage 17
Bikecation describes this area as the beating heart of Northern Italy.
We can see why. Lake Garda is located between Milan and Venice and is Italy's largest lake.
The riding around here depends on where you base yourself, with high mountains to the North and more rolling terrain to the South.

Dolomites - Stage 15
The Dolomites are located in the very North-Eastern corner of Italy and form one of the most beautiful places to ride in the world.
The riding here is pretty brutal, yet the climbs are achievable for most riders and the reward at the top is a breathtaking view and a thrilling descent.
If you saw the Giro stage, you'll have seen quite a few snow-capped mountains, so the best time to go is in the summer months.
