eBay Bike Bargains - Carbon Disc Brake Road Bikes from Giant, Colnago, BMC, Ridley and Cannondale
Disc brakes are here to stay and you can already get a bargain bike with better braking
We, like many roadies, were rather sceptical when disc brakes first started emerging on road bikes a few years ago.
But now, you can't argue that the benefits outweight the small weight penalty.
We've had a good look through eBay to find some bike bargains, all with carbon frames and disc brakes.
Ridley Fenix SL Hydraulic Disc Ultegra Carbon - £2999.99
This brand new bike is perfect for fast riding on broken surfaces. It's Ridley's bike for racing on cobbles so it'll be perfect for the broken back lanes.
It's sold by Paul Milnes Cycles, a proper bike shop so it'll be ready to go with no adjustment needed.
Cannondale Synapse Ultegra 2018 Disc - £1600
The Synapse is another bike that offers some relief over rougher roads.
This come comes with an Ultegra Ultegra R8020 groupset with snappy mechanical shifting along with the excellent hydraulic brakes.
Giant TCR Advanced Pro 2 Carbon Disc - £2195
Giant's TCR is a bike that is loved by climbers, racers, sportive riders, riders heading out on a Sunday.
The lightweight frame has Shimano's 105 R7020 Disc groupset. It's the best value for money groupset out there in our opinion.
Colnago C60 Disc - £3500
The C60 from Colnago is one of the few remaining bikes that use carbon tubes boned into carbon lugs.
It's a truly artisan way of making bikes, not surprising from Colnago. This one comes with an Ultegra mechanical groupset with R685 shifters and S805 hydraulic brakes.
BMC Roadmachine 01 Four Ultegra Disc - £1695
This is a really clean set up with BMC integrating a lot of the front end. The clever carbon frame gets the Ultegra R8020 groupset.
The DT Swiss wheels combine with the GP4000S II tyres for a setup that is fast and stable in windy conditions.
