Thursday's Top Cycling Deals: Science in Sport, Clif and High5

admin

The Deal Clincher features a bunch of nutrition products today including 41% off SiS's REGO Protein

We're a little peckish here at Deal Clincher HQ so today's deals are all about nutrition.

Whilst we'd happily survive on mince pies at this time of year, cycling does demand more thought, especcialy for long days on the bike.

Below are deals on some of our favourite products. We've used all of these products and continue to do so. They really are rather tasty.

Science in Sport REGO Rapid Recovery 1.6kg - £22.95

SiS REGO Rapid Recovery 1.6kg
£22.95

With a mild flavour and just enough protein for a tired cyclist, this recovery power from SiS is perfect.

We aren't massive fans of recovery products, much preferring a good beer. But if you're putting together successive days on the bike, then recovery starts as soon as you get in.

With 20g of protein per serving and 22g of carbs (only 4.5g is sugar), this powder is an ideal drink for the post ride viewing of the Strava stats.

Clif Bar Energy (12x68g) - £14.30

Clif Bar 12x68g Bars
£14.30

Whilst we do concede that Clif bars are pricier than others, we'd also argue that they're tastier.

We've used these in both hot and cold weather and found them to be easily consumed. Chewing is suprisingly challenging when you're riding hard!

Our favourite, the white chocolate, contains 38g of carbs to keep your legs topped up.

High5 ISO Gel (25 mixed flavours) - £9.99

High5 ISO Gel 25 Variety Pack
£9.99
Commerce content is independent of editorial, and Farrelly Atkinson earns commission from promoted products

The best thing about High5 ISO gels is their liquidity. You don't need water when taking one of these on board which does help when in a race or climbing at threshold.

We really like these, not just for the ease of consumption, but also the flavour. It's not really there, ideal for hard efforts.

The gel delivers 23g of carbs, with the Plus version adding 30mg of caffine.

High5 Energy Source + Caffine 2.2kg - £16.49

High5 Energy Source Plus 2.2kg
£16.49
Commerce content is independent of editorial, and Farrelly Atkinson earns commission from promoted products

You don't just have to get energy from bars and gels. Oh no. Carbs can also come in tasy drinks, and no, we're not talking beer again.

This High5 Energy Source is the ideal training aid for long days. The powder is easily mixed in cold water and gives 44g of carbs with a very subtle flavour.

Caffine addicts, fear not. High5 have given each serving 28mg to keep you sharp during intense efforts.

The deals listed on this page are the best deals on the best cycling products we can find. If you purchase anything as a result of clicking on a deal, Farrelly Atkinson Ltd may earn some commission: on some we do, on some we don’t. Any money that we earn goes in to paying for road.cc and its sister sites off.road.cc and ebiketips.
